Meet The 'Survivors' of Capitol Hill - Here's What The Media Aren't Telling You About Them
The speeches given outside Capitol Hill yesterday were undoubtedly powerful. But the stories of the speakers themselves may surprise you.
Let’s dive straight in. You may want to bookmark/save this article for future reference.
HALEY ROBSON
Haley Robson was a recruiter, not a victim.
Before she fled an arrest warrant by temporarily moving to Thailand, Virginia Giuffre, whilst a legal adult, groomed and recruited a string of local girls (around two each week, her ex-partner Tony Figueroa confirmed to me). Most of them were underage school girls, some as young as 14.
Though Robson has never openly named her recruiter (she was recruited at the age of 17), my investigation revealed for the first time that it was indeed Giuffre.
The following is an excerpt from my interview with Figueroa:
“The first time I met Haley Robson, she was dating one of my friends, Brian,” Tony Figueroa tells me. “I was friends with a guy called Matt, who lived next door to me; and one day, his friend Brian came over, and the three of us started hanging out. And one day, Brian brought his girlfriend over, Haley. And Virginia got to talking to her, and she talked Haley into going over to Jeffrey’s, and Virginia drove her there. I guess he ended up liking her a lot, because she just kept going back. I never saw her again after that.”
Haley later, while over 18 and thus a legal adult, continued Giuffre’s MO: recruiting vulnerable school girls who looked older than they were, grooming them and altering their appearance to leave little doubt, and then introducing them to Epstein in exchange for what Giuffre had earlier described in her unpublished memoir, The Billionaire’s Playboy Club, as ‘easy commission’.
Though Epstein did ask them to bring him more young women to massage himin exchange for a sordid ‘finders fee’ of sorts), he did not ask either Robson or Giuffre to bring him underage girls. This they decided to do themselves, luring impressionable girls off to essentially dupe their ‘sugar daddy’ with for financial gain.
You can read more about Giuffre’s recruiting of children, including my interviews with her former partners., by clicking here.
One former associate of Robson is David Swick, who made his view on her crystal clear to me: “Haley was telling these girls that it was strictly a massage. She’d drive them there and then he [Epstein] would roll over and start jerking off and shit like that. I don’t like Haley because of what she did to a lot of my girlfriends, particularly those who weren’t as promiscuous as her.”
One of Robson’s 14 year old victims later showed a school friend the money she had made by ‘massaging some rich guy’ in West Palm Beach. This led to the incident being reported to the girl’s stepmother, who then contacted the police.
Police who launched their investigation into Epstein following the revelation made by the 14-year-old schoolgirl quickly highlighted that Robson was her recruiter.
Detective Recarey, who handled the case, took Robson in for questioning. In her interview, detailed in the subsequent police report, Robson happily admitted that she had recruited children, coerced them into engaging in sexual activity with Epstein for her own financial gain, and that she had instructed them to lie to him that they were over 18.
A few more of Haley’s victims were found. Each of them also confirmed to police that they had lied about their ages.
Jeffrey Epstein subsequently took a lie detector test, whereupon he was asked if he had known that any of the girls were underage. He answered no. And the polygraph examiner determined that he was telling the truth. You can read more about this by clicking here.
After recording Robson’s detailed account, Recarey led her back to his police car and dropped her back off at her home, later recalling in his report that she was almost boastful of what she had done. He recalled how she even found it humorous, and that she told him with a smile, “I’m like Heidi Fleiss”, the Hollywood madam who provided escorts to wealthy clients.
The investigation carried out police revealed that, with the exception of the girls whom the likes of Giuffre and Haley groomed and duped him with, Epstein’s ‘type’ was not children, but young women in their early twenties.
TERESA HELM
Helm was 22 years old, a legal adult, when she first met Jeffrey Epstein.
She claims that she was attending massage-therapy school in 2002 when she was approached by a fellow student who suggested she contact Epstein’s assistant, Sarah Kellen.
Kellen offered her an interview for a position as a travelling masseuse, and Helm alleges that she visited Ghislaine Maxwell who conducted the interview (though this has been disputed). Subsequently, Helm went alone to meet Jeffrey Epstein to give him a massage.
She alleges that, whilst giving him a massage, Epstein moved his foot into an ‘intimate area’ on her, and that she stood up and walked out of the room. She alleges that Epstein then came into the hallway and threatened her, before she left.
Helm’s claims are, for want of a better word, ‘mild’ in comparison to the allegations of others, and she did not file a police report nor make any allegation against Epstein until alleged victims began filing compensation claims against his estate many years later.
LIZ STEIN
Stein was in her late twenties when she claims to have met Jeffrey Epstein.
Stein’s story has changed over the years and she has exhibited numerous contradictions.
She alleges that she went to a hotel to meet Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and that the three then went up to a hotel room. There, she alleges that Maxwell and Epstein began kissing and engaging in sexual activity with each other, before inviting Stein to join them in a threesome.
Stein claims that she declined and left.
Stein allegedly contacted Maxwell numerous times after, in an attempt to socialise with her.
In the run-up to the trial against Maxwell, Stein befriended fellow accuser Sarah Ransome, a former escort who willingly visited Epstein on multiple occasions and contacted his assistant to arrange trips. Ransome was later exposed as having lied to a journalist that she possessed sex tapes of Bill Clinton, Richard Branson, and Donald Trump, before admitted that no such tapes existed.
ANOUSKA DE GEORGIOU
British accuser De Georgiou turned down a place at Oxford University to pursue a career as a model and actress. Working as a model for Playboy, she became connected to numerous high-profile stars, including having a relationship with Baywatch’s David Hasselhoff. Anouska also had ties to Donald Trump. In November 1997, The Sunday Mirror reported the following in its ‘Confidential’ gossip page written by Chris Hutchins: “Just weeks after ditching his second wife, America’s best-known billionaire Donald Trump has fallen under the spell of a 20-year-old English girl. Trump, 50, who has failed in his bid to secure the services of Princess Diana’s butler Paul Burrell, was in search of another British trophy when he met London model Anouska De Georgiou at a party in Manhattan. Several millionaires already had their eyes on Anouska. But she was there with Robert Maxwell’s daughter Ghislaine, who has introduced several of her attractive friends to the property developer. And none of his would-be rivals owned a vast mansion in Florida like Donald does: Mar-a-Lago (where I have dined with him and his outgoing wife Marla) is enough to make any young girl go weak at the knees. After their meeting, Trump flew Madam Maxwell and the model south to the Sunshine State, where all three enjoyed a happy weekend together. When they returned to New York, Anouska was installed in one of Donald’s many apartments there. Ms De Georgiou likes older men – she went out once or twice with Joanna Lumley’s ex-husband Jeremy Lloyd, who is 45 years her senior.”
Anouska has since claimed that, whilst over the legal age of consent, she was abused by Jeffrey Epstein for “several years”. “Jeffrey Epstein manipulated me, coerced me and abused me,” she told the Evening Standard. “He cannot fathom what he did to us… The abuse, spanning several years, was devaluing beyond measure and affected my ability to form and maintain healthy relationships, both in my work and my personal life.” Anouska has since also given multiple interviews to the press. She was also a prosecution witness against Ghislaine Maxwell at her trial. However, her testimony was intended to corroborate allegations made by other accusers, due to Anouska being a legal adult at the time she now claims Epstein abused her.
It was later revealed during Maxwell’s trial that Anouska had allegedly sent Epstein letters whilst he was in prison and had even offered to send him photographs of herself.
Anouska’s allegations have been vague and inconsistent over the years.
ANNIE FARMER
When Annie took the stand at Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial, she claimed that she was 16 in 1996, when her sister Maria introduced her to Epstein. She claimed that Maxwell groomed her by taking her shopping and to the movies. She then claimed that Maxwell instructed her to give Epstein a massage at his New Mexico ranch, during which she alleged Maxwell pulled down the towel to expose Annie’s breasts, before touching her inappropriately.
Nature of the Massage Incident: The defence challenged Annie Farmer’s description of the New Mexico massage incident, arguing it was not overtly sexual. They noted that Farmer testified Maxwell touched her breasts during a massage while she was topless, but the defence suggested this was a standard massage technique, not abuse, and lacked sexual intent. They highlighted that Farmer did not describe explicit sexual acts by Maxwell beyond the touching.
Inconsistent Prior Statements: They then pointed to discrepancies between Farmer’s trial testimony and her 1996 journal entries, which she referenced in court. In her journal, Farmer described feeling uncomfortable during the massage but did not explicitly label it as sexual abuse or mention Maxwell’s groping as prominently as in her testimony. The defence argued this suggested her trial account was exaggerated.
Delayed Reporting: The defence highlighted that Farmer did not report the incident to authorities until many years later, despite being 16 and having supportive family members (e.g., her mother and sister, Maria Farmer, who also accused Epstein). They argued her delay in reporting undermined her credibility, suggesting the incident was not as traumatic or criminal as claimed.
Lack of Corroboration: It was noted that Farmer’s account of Maxwell’s inappropriate touching lacked direct corroboration from other witnesses or physical evidence. While Farmer’s sister, Maria, reported concerns about Epstein to the FBI in 1996, she did not witness the New Mexico incident, and no other staff or victims confirmed Maxwell’s actions at the ranch.
Financial Motive: The defence suggested Farmer’s participation in the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Fund (from which she received an unspecified amount) motivated her to exaggerate Maxwell’s role. They argued her testimony was shaped to align with other victims’ claims for financial gain.
Memory and Context: Maxwell’s lawyers questioned the reliability of Farmer’s memory, given the 25-year gap between the 1996 incident and the 2021 trial. They highlighted vague details, such as the exact date of the New Mexico trip or the specifics of Maxwell’s instructions, suggesting trauma or time distorted her recollection. Annie claimed that the film that Epstein and Maxwell took her to watch in 1996 was ‘Twelve Monkeys’. This cannot be true, because ‘Twelve Monkeys’ was only in cinemas during 1995.
Judge Nathan instructed jurors that Annie’s testimony did not constitute criminal activity on Maxwell’s part, saying: “You have heard testimony from Annie Farmer regarding events that occurred in New Mexico when she was 16 years old. I instruct you that the conduct described by Ms. Farmer in New Mexico does not constitute an illegal sex act under the law applicable to these charges, as the age of consent in New Mexico at the time was 16.
There is much more to this story, and I go into further detail in my upcoming book, NAKED LIES: The Epstein Scandal That Rocked The Royals & Troubled Trump. What is interesting, for now, is that Annie’s sister, claimed to have reported both allegations of sexual assault to the NYPD and to the FBI on August 26, 1996. Yet when I tracked down a copy of the report, it is clear that the report she made relates to an allegation of theft of property (she claimed that, when they parted ways, Jeffrey had kept her artwork without paying for it). No sexual assault is mentioned whatsoever, and nor is any accusation made in the report against Ghislaine Maxwell.
MARINA LACERDA
Lacerda was 14 when she claims ‘a friend’ recruited her in 2002 and took her to Jeffrey Epstein.
Lacerda is understood to have been coerced by her recruiter into lying about her age.
Lacerda then went on to recruit other girls - though she can be forgiven for this, considering she would have been an impressionable minor at the time.
LISA PHILLIPS
Phillips was 21 when she claims she was assaulted by Epstein on his island. Some have alleged that, as with Sarah Ransome and numerous other accusers, Phillips was willingly using Epstein as a ‘sugar daddy’ in exchange for proving sexualised massages.
Phillips also went on to introduce young women to Epstein.
Phillips did not make any allegations against Epstein until recently, and is alleged to have visited Epstein twice, including one trip to his island at which she was photographed smiling and posing on a boat.
She has since sold numerous unsubstantiated allegations and stories to the press.
JESS MICHAELS
Michaels, a relatively new accuser, was 22 when she claims she first met Epstein in 1991 and that he later assaulted her.
While you’re here, watch myself and Jessica Kraus (who has also been investigating this scandal for a long time and knows her stuff) discuss the accusers, and much more about the case, in our latest ‘Sunday Scandal’ live chat by clicking here.

"Though Robson has never openly named her recruiter (she was recruited at the age of 17), my investigation revealed for the first time that it was indeed Giuffre."
Makes sense given the Palm Beach police reports. "Molly" lol how many aliases has this woman used.
